First produce the bumpy surface as before, but this
time make it white instead of mapping anything onto it.
Now alter the observer until the picture is completely
filled with polygons, and adjust the light source so that
it produces areas of light and dark across the surface.
Render the scene in mode 13, and you will then have a new
texture to map onto other objects. I'm sure there are
other ways of using Illusionist to produce screens to use
in Illusionist (if you see what I mean!!!) so if you've
found one, please write to me and reveal all.

Some of the screens in the demo are quite complex, and
rely on this detail to make the picture. An example of
this is the stereotypical desk scene with angle poise
lamp. Other pictures like the fractal-fruit bowl have only
a small number of objects and rely on the effect produced
by the lighting and sprite maps to give produce a good
picture.
